National Holocaust Museum

A Dutch National Holocaust Museum will be realized on Amsterdam's Plantage Middenlaan in two historic buildings. The Hollandsche Schouwburg - once a renowned city theatre - and the former Hervormde Kweekschool directly across the street - earlier a Teacher Training College - will soon tell the comprehensive story of the persecution, deportation and murder of more than three-quarters of the Netherlands' Jews (the Shoah). A dark chapter in history, disturbing and confronting, which still today stirs up questions and sparks interest, demands watchfulness and commitment. The first phase in this project is now being launched.

The National Holocaust Museum is located at the Plantage Middenlaan 27, 1018 DB, Amsterdam.
